IACBE（International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education，国际大学商学院教育认证委员会）成立于1997年，是一所非营利性质的学术机构。2011年1月获美国高等教育认证委员会（CHEA）的肯定与许可。其认证的宗旨是：不以相关投入和资源的硬性规定为标准，而是遵循以人才培养目标、培养过程和结果为标准的一个认证过程。旨在为国际上办学优秀的大学商学院提供专业认证。
July 2018 – Announced by the Board of Commissioners of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology (GCU) in Guangzhou, China has been granted first-time accreditation of the business and management programs offered through School of Management and School of Economics, and GCU is the first university in China with IACBE accredited programs.
About the IACBE – The International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) was founded in 1997 and is nationally-recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The IACBE is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education for student-centered colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions throughout the world. The IACBE has hundreds of member institutions and campuses worldwide, and has accredited over 1,500 business and business-related programs in the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Central America, and South America.
About GCU’s IACBE application process – The application for the IACBE accreditation mainly goes through three stages: educational member, candidacy and accredited member. GCU has been educational member of the IACBE since November 2013 and is the first member institution of the IACBE in China. From 20115-2016, GCU completed the Outcomes Assessment Plan and handed in candidacy application in May 2016. Candidacy site-visit was accomplished in September 2016 and four business programs have successfully been granted candidacy status in December 2016. In July 2018, GCU has been successfully granted first-time accreditation of the business and management programs.
Our school has successfully obtained the official membership of IACBE this time is beneficial to the continuous improvement of the quality and academic level of teaching for commercial majors, and increase of the school’s competitiveness and international popularity.
